College Tour

Thursday, November 20, 2025 29 Cheshvan 5786

All Day for 3 Days

November 20-23

We are excited to invite tenth, eleventh, and twelfth graders to travel to Boston and explore the many Colleges, Universities, and exciting places that this historic city has to offer! We will learn about the different ways students can experience Jewish life on the different campuses, all while making memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.

Boston sounds great! When do we leave, and how do we get there?
Pending registration and flight schedules, we will meet at BWI on Thursday, afternoon and fly out from there.

That's so cool! What's the plan for when we're there?
We will be visiting schools in Boston and in the surrounding areas.  We will visit historic sites and local attractions in addition to the colleges and universities.  Students will have time to explore the city on their own as well.  For Shabbat we will attend services at a Hillel and eat dinner with students.

Who will be chaperoning?
Nomi Adams, Teen and Family Engagement Specialist, and Alex Baker, our Cantorial Intern will be chaperoning together.  Alex Baker is entering his second year at BHC and has been engaging with our teens throughout his time here.  You will be able to contact them at any time during the trip (and hey, even before!)

Should l plan to miss any school?
Because we are leaving Thursday afternoon, your child will part of Thursday and Friday.  If your school requires a note to excuse their absence, let us know, we can provide the required documentation.

Are meals included?
Breakfast will be included with the hotel and each day lunch and dinner will be a little different. Some meals will be all together, others will be chosen on your own during free time. If any of you have been on a trip with Nomi before, you know she will have plenty of snacks.

We're In!! How much does the trip cost?
With gratitude to the Millie and Alvin Blum 8th-12th Grade Teen Program, as well as grant from the Jewish Educational Services of Baltimore the total cost of this trip including hotels, transportation, some meals, museums, and workshops is $500. We never want cost to be a barrier for any of our experiences, please reach out to Nomi for scholarship opportunities.
