Music & Meaning Concert: "COMING to AMERICA"

Clarinetist Seth Kibel and pianist/Artistic Director Daniel Weiser present Coming to America, a vibrant program exploring the musical journeys of Jewish and other immigrant communities to the United States. Blending Eastern European klezmer with ragtime and Dixieland, the concert traces the roots of a distinctly American sound that shaped composers like Harold Arlen, Benny Goodman, and George Gershwin. The program culminates with Gershwin’s iconic Rhapsody in Blue, performed in a compelling arrangement for clarinet and piano.
