Our Shabbat Service on Friday evening is a wonderful way to end the week and welcome Shabbat. All are welcome as we connect with our prayers and ponder a topical or spiritual sermon. Melodies are drawn from tradition, from our Reform Jewish heritage and from contemporary composers.

Our regular 10am Shabbat morning service is welcoming and meaningful to those who come regularly and those who attend for the first time. Shabbat Shelanu means Our Shabbat, and we endeavor to celebrate Shabbat together with communal reading, engaging melodies, and embracing one another.  The weekly Torah portion is both chanted and discussed at this service.

PJ Shabbat

Bring your toddlers and young children for BHC’s pajama-clad service the first Friday of every month.This brief service is hopping with the energy and includes music, a story, tzedakah, and lots of fun. PJ Shabbat is led by one of our rabbis or cantors, and is open to those who attend the E.B. Hirsh Early Childhood Center, all our youngest congregants, and any guests.
