Winter Nights on Park Heights
Winter Nights on Park Heights is back. Come on over to BHC to warm up and enjoy an evening of current events, this week led by congregant Caroline Harmon-Darrow. Caroline Harmon-Darrow, MSW, is a volunteer community mediator of 21 years, and trains, coaches, and certifies others mediators around the state. In 5 years as Executive Director of Community Mediation Program, she shepherded significant organizational growth, earning an Achievements in Management Excellence award from the Weinberg Foundation. Caroline is an adjunct professor of social policy and community practice and PhD Candidate at the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Social Work, where she also earned her MSW in 2002, following a BA from UC Berkeley. She led a group of 22 families as founding President of Creative City Public Charter School, a place-based, arts-integrated, elementary school in the southern Park Heights neighborhood of Baltimore City, including raising nearly $1M in grants and loans for the launch. She and her wife Aimee are the proud moms of BHC Religious School students Jacob & Gracie.
Join for lively current events discussions every Thursday night in January, 6:30pm, led by BHC’s rabbis, Brad Cohen (Director of Education), and BHC members Howard Libit (Baltimore Jewish Council Executive Director), and Caroline Harmon-Darrow (PhD candidate at the UMB School of Social Work).
