IRA Charitable Rollover
Donate to BHC through your IRA. The IRA Charitable Rollover provision allows people age 70½ and older to make direct transfers totaling up to $100,000 per year to qualified charities, without having to count the transfers as income for federal income tax purposes. Congress has now made the provision permanent.
Transfers must come from your IRA directly to BHC. If you have retirement assets in a 401k, 403b etc., you must first roll those funds into an IRA, and then you can direct the IRA provider to transfer the funds from the IRA directly to BHC.
INFO: contact your retirement plan administrator.
Offerings
Announcement of get well, thanksgiving, special occasion and in memory offerings are listed in the Temple Bulletin. Minimum contribution is $18 or you can purchase 10 prepaid for $118. BHC members may contribute an offering by calling the Temple Office, 410-764-1587, or e-mailing info@baltimorehebrew.org. Others may contribute by mailing a check to Baltimore Hebrew Congregation, Attention: Contributions, 7401 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21208.
Perpetual Memorials
BHC makes it possible to establish memorials for everlasting remembrance. A page in the Book of Memorial, or in combination with a Sanctuary Seat Plaque, may be dedicated as a memorial to your loved one.
Perpetual Memorial: $850
Perpetual Memorial in Combination with a Sanctuary Seat Plaque: $1200

Sanctuary Seat Plaques
A seat in the Sanctuary may be dedicated to commemorate a special occasion or honor the memory of a loved one. An endowed seat serves both as a timeless tribute and a source of support for our Congregation. Seats may be endowed on the main floor of the Sanctuary or on the side or balcony. Simcha Tree of Life
Inscribe yourself and your family into BHC history on the beautiful Tree of Life in the Hoffberger Chapel hallway. You can commemorate a current or past simcha - birth, bris or baby naming, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, Confirmation, graduation, wedding or anniversary - by purchasing leaves that will be engraved and mounted on the tree. Each leaf costs $270. INFO: Francine Gill, fgill@baltimorehebrew.org or 410-764-1587, ext 226.
