Interfaith Institute

How do religious people view the world? What kind of vision do we need to
face up to our current challenges? We will explore different images
in Christian, Jewish, and Muslim tradition and consider how those
images might impact our visions and responses today.
Women of BHC presents the annual Interfaith Institute, continuing a six-decade long commitment to faith communities, learning together and developing relationships. This year, our keynote speaker will be Rabbi Michael Marmur, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Jewish Theology at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, Jerusalem. Rabbi Marmur has also served as Provost for HUC-JIR and is a respected and provocative scholar and lecturer.  As he often does, Rabbi Marmur will intertwine religious thought and contemporary dilemmas.
The institute will begin with the keynote speaker followed by the panel of experts. Small group sessions will be led by facilitators. During the small groups, clergy will be grouped together. The program will conclude with a question and answer session. INFO: Call Phyllis Lederman, 410 -925-1271, or email
