Hate has been a continuing reality across societies. As have been efforts to build understanding. Recent years have seen acts and statements of hate against various groups, including people of color, immigrants, Jews, and others. There is much that can and needs to be done to dispelling hate within realms of government, education, media, religious organizations and more. This Annual Interfaith Institute underlying goal is always to understanding across communities. At this moment it makes sense to focus our discussion specifically on hate and understanding. Attorney General Brian Frosh is a natural keynote to reflect on the efforts of our state in this area.
