Torah Blessings
Mazel tov as you prepare your child to enter into one of the most exciting stops along the journey of our Jewish lives. BHC's B'Mitzvah program ensures that your child is properly trained to lead the congregation in prayer and is ready to take on the responsibilities of being a member of the adult Jewish community. Through the B'Mitzvah program, families and students are connected to each other, to our clergy and educators, to BHC and to Judaism. At BHC, we are committed to making this a wonderful, positive experience for your family. Some steps along the way:

5th Grade Parsha Party
Get your date and Torah portion on this wonderful Shabbat Morning.
6th Grade Mitzvah Fair
Find a mitzvah project by talking with and exploring options with non-profit organizations in the community.
6th Grade B'nai Mitzvah Retreat
Spend a day navigating the B'nai Mitzvah process with your family through experiences such as low ropes, the giant swing and more. This program is generously funded by The Leah and Morton Kemper Family Education Enrichment Program.
Approximately 1 Year Before Your B'Mitzvah
Meet with the Cantor to initiate tutoring. Throughout the year, have regular meetings with your tutor and the officiating Rabbi. Becky Gutin, B'Mitzvah Coordinator, will schedule these meetings with you individually.
Our program is open to children of BHC members in good standing. INFO: Marci Messick, Administrative Assistant and B’nai Mitzvah Coordinator, mmessick@baltimorehebrew.org or 410-764-1587, ext. 250.
