Shavuot 2022

Saturday, June 4
7 pm: Erev Shavuot Service: In Person & via LiveControl
On Saturday June 4, we will celebrate Shavuot and Confirmation with a 7 pm service.  This Confirmation class is composed of 10th and 11th grade students, who have actually studied together for two years.  Join with us as we celebrate this class and the festival of Shavuot.  The service will be in-person and via Live Control.

8 pm–Midnight: JOINT Erev Shavuot Torah study:
Erev Shavuot will come with a Leil Tikkun Shavuot, a night of study of Torah and Judaism.  For the third year in a row, this study will come via Zoom.  Join BHC, Bolton Street Synagogue and  Har Sinai–Oheb Shalom Congregation as we learn together from 8 pm–Midnight. Registration for Bolton Street will be provided by Zoom closer to date. Furthermore, this special Reform Jewish Baltimore opportunity will be followed by the chance to study with an even broader selection of rabbis and teachers. Feel free to attend any part of this Erev Shavuot Study. Details to follow as Shavuot approaches.

Sunday, June 5
8 am: Sunrise Shavuot Service in BHC Courtyard
BHC continues our tradition of welcoming Shavuot morning with an outdoors early morning service. Since Shavuot falls on a Sunday this year, the service starts at 8 am. This uplifting service is followed by breakfast.

4–5 pm: Shavuot Scoop in BHC Parking Lot
Join us beneath a tent at BHC, as we celebrate Shavuot with traditional dairy desserts, especially delicious Taharka Brothers ice cream.  As the weather warms up, it will be a chance to connect and reconnect to our BHC community and see new and old friends.
